As governor, Amy Klobuchar will work to lower costs that have been going through the roof across the country — essentials like housing, child care, and health care. She’ll take action to build more homes for Minnesotans, supporting first-time homebuyers, renters, and growing families who need more space. She’ll work with child care providers, employers, and schools to expand access to child care. She’ll build on her years of fighting — and beating — Big Pharma to lower prescription drug prices for Minnesotans. And she’ll hold the line on utility bills by modernizing Minnesota’s power grid and adding more affordable, renewable energy.
We need a government that can carry its weight and match your drive and ambition. Amy Klobuchar intends to transform our state government to be innovative, effective, and accountable. That starts by rooting out fraud and making sure the money coming out of your paycheck is not misspent. It means modern technology that delivers results fast. It means making it easy to start a business and bring good-paying jobs to Minnesota. It means turning the page on a bureaucracy that leaves people dreading having to jump through hoops to get a permit or start a business. Amy Klobuchar will take on our biggest challenges.
Amy Klobuchar knows there are many paths to success. As governor, she’ll make sure Minnesotans can get the skills they need to build a good life here at home. She’ll build real on-ramps to good jobs, doubling apprenticeships and workforce training in the trades, health care, public safety, and emerging industries. She’ll raise academic achievement with evidence-based curriculum, tutoring to help kids catch up, and a focus on reading and math skills in elementary classrooms. And she’ll open doors to college and credentials, building partnerships between employers and colleges, expanding three-year degrees, and helping middle and high school students get a head start. Because anybody willing to work should have a path to success.
Amy Klobuchar knows one-size-fits-all solutions don’t work for rural communities. She and her running mate, former Fergus Falls Mayor Ben Schierer, will expand Minnesota’s rural economy by working with businesses and farmers to grow and produce more products, find new markets, and export to the world. They will work with the private sector to build more homes, support rural hospitals, increase access to child care, and create new pathways to the workforce. They’ll modernize rural broadband and infrastructure, and strengthen the farm safety net. Together, they will make sure Minnesotans can live, work, and raise a family anywhere in Minnesota — because kids who grow up in rural Minnesota should be able to stay in rural Minnesota.
Amy Klobuchar is committed to preserving Minnesota's natural resources and protecting the environment. As governor, she will protect Minnesota's natural resources, from lakes and wetlands to forests and farmland. She will promote strategies that protect public lands and wildlife habitat, preserve farmland, reduce fires and flooding, and keep our state's air and water clean. She knows we all share a responsibility to pass on the Minnesota way of life to future generations through conservation and smart policies that allow outdoor recreation, fishing, and hunting to thrive.
